But Margaret didn't want the Mama-witch to leave today, so I eventually took her back home with me.

When will spring come?

It seems like somebody is sick at our house all the time these days! This Monday, Margaret came down with a cold and fever and William developed a mysterious wound infection and accompanying rash and required antibiotics. I found our third bout of disease in a month so depressing that I am not blogging about it until today - thank goodness they are almost completely better! I think everybody is looking forward to playing outside more! And certain adults are looking forward to watching less "Spongebob Squarepants: the Movie" ( It is a funny show, however! William and I like the part where he brushes his eyes instead of his teeth.)

Today, we got a package in the mail with two new trains! Thank you, Oma and Grandpa ( and for the other stuff, too!).

William loves playing when Margaret is taking her nap.

And it gives me time to blog!

Margaret is somehow obsessed with reading my medical books. I think it has more to do with their location ( within her reach) than the subject matter. I think she has now spent more time with the above book than I ever did!

Happy Birthday Concert for Nadia (Oct. 18)!

I decided to give a little piano concert for Nadia on her birthday.

Some might not have considered it much of a present - since I've only been practicing for 3 weeks - but I encouraged champagne consumption and Nadia, her mother , Aline, and the three children were an extremely forgiving and nice audience.

Oops, looks like Sammy noticed that I hit a wrong note!

The brown chocolates were good, but the white truffles had champagne inside them and William spit his out emphatically.

Dr H Got New Wheels!

This is a picture of my new bike, "Red" - here to replace my last bike, "Bucky". Bucky was Bro Hausfrau's old bike...and could only go downhill fast. Red can go uphill, too! I am looking forward to many good Fahrts.
